Asbestos Consulting
Asbestos Investigation Services
Depending on our client’s needs, ACT performs limited or comprehensive asbestos investigations in which all suspect materials observed throughout a building are documented and either sampled or assumed to contain asbestos. All investigations are conducted by ACT building inspectors who are state accredited, as required by current industry regulations.
Asbestos Abatement Specifications
Careful project design is the key to any successful asbestos abatement project. In accordance with federal, state and local regulations, ACT develops abatement specifications to meet the needs of our clients. Additionally, ACT will assist in contractor selection by means of solicitation and walk-through meetings.
Asbestos Abatement Monitoring
During asbestos removal projects, ACT performs on‑site quality control monitoring and air sampling to provide clients with sufficient information to document significant activities during the project for liability reasons.
Operations and Maintenance Program
Under the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) revised standard 29 CFR 1926.1101 section (k), an employer and/or building owner must provide communication of information concerning asbestos hazards to all persons entering the premises. ACT prepares Asbestos Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Programs to meet this standard by means of (1) making signs and (2) holding courses to alert and educate maintenance employees as to the location and hazards of the ACMs and/or PCMs to prevent fiber release/disturbance, and (3) periodically re-inspecting the conditions of the ACM/PACM.
Training Programs
ACT provides training programs for Asbestos Awareness, Operations and Maintenance, Asbestos Abatement Worker, Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, and Asbestos Air Monitoring. Training location is flexible with the client’s needs.
