Training Courses

ACT offers a diverse array of health, safety, and environmental training courses, as well as compliance assistance and assessments designed to meet the regulatory needs of industry, construction, and business. The bulk of our training courses have been conducted to meet our client’s need for compliance with the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Standards. The standards require that an employer and/or building owner must provide communication of quantities and locations of environmental hazards to their employees, prospective employers applying or bidding for work, and tenants who will occupy the area.

Following are the courses ACT provides:

  • Lead Based Paint Awareness Training – for workers to come into contact with lead based paint materials
  • Asbestos 2-Hour Awareness Training – for workers to come into contact with suspect asbestos materials – annual requirement
  • 16-Hour Operations and Maintenance – for maintenance workers in facilities known to have asbestos materials – annual requirement
  • Air Monitoring Training Courses – training to air monitor for contaminants – an insurance requirement, annually
  • Asbestos Worker Training Courses - Indiana and Illinois approval for licensing to remove asbestos materials from facilities – initial and refresher courses to maintain annual licenses
  • Project Supervisor Training Courses – Indiana and Illinois approval for licensing to supervise asbestos material removal activities from facilities – initial and refresher courses to maintain annual licenses

Additional courses are being added to our listing to aid the client’s needs. Training programs are conducted at the ACT Training Facility or at the client’s location of choice. A Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is on staff to assist in various training programs such as HAZWOPER.

Prices can be negotiated depending on the number of attendants interested.
